The Town of Creston recognizes signage as an important part of beautification and community development. The Town's Sign Development and  Regulations Bylaw No. 1581 is designed to encourage quality signage that incorporates elements of the natural beauty of the Creston Valley, complements the building façade and landscaping features and adds to the overall attractiveness of the community.

A permit is needed for most signs. The application form is available at Town Hall, and is also included below. The permit fee is $25.00 per sign, in most cases. For detailed information on regulations concerning different types of signs, please see the full Sign Development and Regulations Bylaw below.

Please note that a permit is not required to erect signs for the following, but please contact the Bylaw Enforcement Officer for required regulations:

  • Real Estate Sign;
  • Warning Sign;
  • Construction Sign;
  • Prohibition Sign;
  • Political Sign.
