Water Leaks and Sewer Blockages

In case of a blocked sewer:

• Call the Town of Creston. An after hour answering service is available, and this service will contact the on-call crew member.
• Town of Creston will check the sewer main.
• If there is a clean out on property line the Town of Creston will snake it.
• If after the clean out has been snaked and is clear to the sewer main and the blockage is on private property, the owner will have to call a private contractor
• If there is no clean out and the sewer main is running, then the owner must call a contractor.
• The owner has the right to have a contractor camera their sewer service.
• Sewer Blockage Policy

In case of a water leak:

• Call the Town of Creston. An after hour answering service is available, and this service will contact the on-call crew member.
• The Town will check the valve at the property line to determine if the leak is on Town property or owner’s property.
• If the leak is on owner’s property then the Town will instruct the owner to call a contractor to repair it.
• If the leak is on Town property the Town will repair it.
