The Town of Creston will, without prejudice, be observing Monday, September 19, 2022 as a statutory holiday and day of mourning for Queen Elizabeth II, the date of Her Majesty's funeral. 

A national commemorative ceremony will be held in Ottawa at the Christ Church Cathedral on Monday, Sept. 19, 2022 at 8 a.m. (Pacific Time) 11 a.m. (Eastern Time). The national commemorative ceremony will be broadcast live and available on digital media platforms so all Canadians can participate. In British Columbia, a commemorative service will be held in Victoria on Monday, Sept. 19, 2022, at Christ Church Cathedral. The commemorative service will begin at 11:00 a.m. and a livestream of the event will be available online. Details about this service will be announced on the Provincial Government website.
