[ARCHIVED] CUPE Local 2092 and Town of Creston Ratify New Contract

The Town of Creston and the Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 2092 have all voted in favour to ratify a new five year agreement, bringing contract negotiations to a

successful conclusion. 

The new agreement, retroactive to March 1, 2016, affects all Town CUPE Local 2092 employees and provides for a wage increase of 9.65% over the five year period, in increments as follows: March 2016 -1.65%; March 2017 – 1%; September 2017 – 1%; March 2018 – 1%; September 2018 – 1%; March 2019 – 1%; September 2019 – 1%, and March 2020 – 2%.

“I appreciate the effort that all parties put into the negotiation process”, stated Mayor Ron Toyota. “The resulting five year agreement allows us to move forward with certainty over the longer term. The Town of Creston extends its gratitude to the members of CUPE Local 2092 for their continued service to our community”, Mayor Toyota said.
