[ARCHIVED] RDCK Media Release - Provincial State of Local Emergency Declared and Campfire Ban in Place

The Regional District of Central Kootenay is informing residents that the BC Provincial Government has declared a provincial state of local emergency due to the current wildfire situation and the expected increase in wildfire activity.

The RDCK’s encourages residents to assemble a 72 hour GRAB & GO emergency kit in the event of an emergency and an Out of Area Emergency Contact Information Card for each family member. And if you haven’t already, please sign up for the RDCK’s FREE Emergency Notification System.
