Town of Creston & Erickson Water Conservation Measures Lifted Effective October 1, 2017

Stage 2 Water Conservation Measures will be rescinded across all Town of Creston and Erickson water service areas effective October 1, 2017. Water restriction practices have been effective in reducing peak demand as a result of outdoor irrigation during the hot and dry summer months.

Stage 1 Water Conservation Measures will be implemented again starting June 1, 2018 and will remain in place until September 30, 2018, regardless of seasonal weather patterns. Stricter water conservation measures may be required if demand increases significantly, hot and dry weather prevails, or stream flows decline to critically low levels.

The Town of Creston and the Regional District of Central Kootenay would like to thank all residents for their efforts in conserving water this summer.
