Town of Creston residents are invited to provide feedback on the proposed 2020 Budget and Financial Plan. One of the opportunities to do so is at the Special Committee of the Whole meeting this Tuesday, January 28 at 4 p.m. in Council Chambers, Town Hall. This is an opportunity for the public and Council to hear the presentation of the proposed 2020 Budget and ask any questions that you may have. There will also be another meeting on Tuesday, February 11.
The proposed 2020 Annual Budget and Financial Plan is available in our Budget Book posted on our website: http://www.creston.ca/…/2418/Public-Budget-2020-Presentation. Printed copies are also available at Town Hall. The Budget Book details departmental budgets and one-time projects (including funding sources for those projects), and much more!
The Town of Creston 2020 Budget proposes a NET decrease of 0.68% in municipal taxation. This includes increases to infrastructure replacement reserve funding, and borrowing taxation for the new fire hall.
