Creston, BC – May 29, 2020: Creston Residents, on behalf of Town Council and staff, have a lovely weekend. The Emergency Operations Centre continues to meet weekly to monitor the COVID-19 situation and carefully consider the re-opening of Town owned Parks and Facilities, including playgrounds and the splash park, ensuring that the direction provided by our Provincial and Federal health authorities is followed. Optional Return to School: On June 1, 2020, kindergarten to Grade 5 students may return to school two days a week, with online learning continuing on Fridays. Students will be alphabetically split up into two groups and alternate either Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday in class. Grade 6 to 12 students will attend only once per week. Parents must register their children prior to their return to and be aware of the new safety measures. Interior Health Virtual Townhall: Interior Health is hosting a Virtual Town Hall on Monday, June 1 @ 7:15 pm. This is the perfect opportunity to ask your health-care related questions about COVID-19, BC’s Restart Plan or BC’s Surgical Renewal Plan. Interior Health Authority CEO Susan Brown and Chief Medical Health Officer Dr. Sue Pollock, along with MLA Katrine Conroy and MLA Doug Clovechok will be available to field questions.
