Creston, BC – June 8, 2020: In accordance with WorkSafe BC guidelines and the Provincial Medical Health Officer’s Order mandating Workplace Safety Plans, Town of Creston Council, adopted the “Town Hall Re-Opening Policy” on May 26, 2020, with Town Hall re-opening to the public on June 1. You will notice some changes when you visit, including hand sanitizing stations, the addition of plexiglass at the customer service counters, and modified hours of operation (9 am - 12 pm and 1 pm – 4pm, Monday through Friday). Webex Details for Regular Council and Special Committee of the Whole Meeting June 9, 2020: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Council meetings have been held virtually, following a modified meeting schedule, in accordance with Ministerial Order No. M139. The Town of Creston recognizes that public participation in local governance is an integral part of providing good government; and as such, provisions have been made to allow the public and media to participate electronically via Webex in the upcoming Regular Council Meeting and Special Committee of the Whole Meeting (details provided below). Mayor and Council will be present at Council Chambers; however, the space is not large enough to accommodate additional attendees while following Federal and Provincial COVID-19 health and safety recommendations.
