In partnership with Recycle BC, the new RDCK Recycling Depot launch begins June 26. The green bins used to collect mixed recycling in Creston (412 Helen St., beside Arrow Mountain car wash) have been removed and as such, the recycling depot is currently closed but expected to reopen on June 26, 2020.
The Recycle BC program requires recyclables to be sorted into main categories as well as the depots to be staffed and secured in an effort to reduce contamination and improve recyclability. Hours of operation at the Creston Recycling Depot will be Tuesday - Saturday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. There will also be recycling containers set up at the Creston Landfill which is open Tuesday - Saturday, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.
