Creston, BC January 21, 2021: Creston residents, we hope you are enjoying the blue skies and sunny weather, even if it’s crisp out there. A reminder that the current Public Health Order on Gatherings and Events in British Columbia is in effect until midnight, February 5, 2021.  We need to continue our efforts to reduce social interactions, non-essential travel, keep wearing our masks in indoor public spaces, washing our hands and staying home if we feel ill. BC Centre for Disease Control Update Weekly Update on COVID-19 Case Counts:   From January 10 to 16, 2021 there were no cases of  COVID-19 in the Creston Local Health Area. Provincial State of Emergency Extended:  The Province of British Columbia has formally extended the provincial state of emergency through to the end of the day on February 2, 2021, allowing health and emergency management officials to continue to use extraordinary powers under the Emergency Program Act (EPA) to support the Province’s COVID-19 pandemic response.
