BC Centre for Disease Control Update Weekly Update on COVID-19 Case Counts: From January 10 to 16, 2021 there were no cases of COVID-19 in the Creston Local Health Area. While our numbers are low, communities surrounding Creston are still experiencing cases of COVID-19. It is important to continue to take all the necessary safety measures to ensure our Town remains healthy and safe. Provincial State of Emergency Extended: The Province of British Columbia has formally extended the provincial state of emergency through to the end of the day on February 2, 2021, allowing health and emergency management officials to continue to use extraordinary powers under the Emergency Program Act (EPA) to support the Province’s COVID-19 pandemic response.
