Creston, B.C., Feb 11, 2021: Citizens of the Town of Creston are now able to report and submit non-urgent service requests through SeeClickFix, an online and mobile interface. The place-based reporting platform allows citizens to document neighbourhood concerns and areas of improvement, ranging from potholes, graffiti, malfunctioning streetlights, damaged sidewalks, water pressure issues and more. SeeClickFix went live in Creston on Monday, February 1, 2021.

Through the mobile app, SeeClickFix enables smartphone users to report issues directly from their device, by choosing an issue category to report, taking a photo of it and providing relevant details. The mobile app tags the specific location of the issue through location services if enabled on the user’s device (GPS), which allows staff to pinpoint the exact location of the problem, as well as identify if the issue has already been reported.

“SeeClickFix gives us the ability to streamline the non-urgent requests for service that we receive, and ensures that requests are forwarded to the appropriate department for resolution”, said Michael Moore, Chief Administrative Officer. “It also provides citizens the opportunity to track the progress of a reported issue and receive notification when the issue has been resolved”, he added.

The SeeClickFix app is available for free download for iOS and Android users. Residents can also select the SeeClickFix tab on our Facebook page @townofcreston, or click on the “Report An Issue” banner on the creston.ca web page.

“Providing the highest level of customer service and improving communications with our citizens are main Council priorities”, stated Mayor Ron Toyota. “SeeClickFix aligns very well with these priorities and we are pleased to be able to offer another way for our citizens to let us know about non-urgent issues, so they can be resolved as timely as possible.”
