Saturday, March 27, 2021: Continuing on from yesterday, the BC Wildfire Service is supporting the Creston Community Forest in conducting a 12-hectare prescribed fire on Arrow Mountain (also known as Goat Mountain) today. The burn site is about three kilometres north of Creston and four kilometres south of Wynndel.

The purpose of this prescribed fire is to reduce amounts of combustible material and decrease the risk of catastrophic wildfires in the area. Smoke is visible from both Creston and Wynndel, and to motorists travelling along Highway 3 and South on Highway 3A.

Please note that this smoke may continue to be seen in the coming days as small amounts of remaining fuels smoulder. Learn more about prescribed burning online at: http://ow.ly/20Su50Ax89j.
