Creston, BC April 8, 2021:  In Dr. Nerine Kleinhans' April 7, 2021 community COVID-19 update she noted that there have been nine active COVID-19 cases in the past 7 days in Creston.  It is essential that we work together as a community to keep each other healthy and safe.  Please continue to wear a non-medical mask, follow social distancing protocols, stay home when you are feeling unwell, and follow all the public health guidelines and Provincial Health Officer orders.  Implementing and using our layers of protection – without exception is the best thing we can do to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in our community.  

BC Centre for Disease Control Update Weekly Update on COVID-19 Case Counts:   From March 28 to April 3, 2021 the BCCDC reported eight new cases of COVID-19 in the Creston Local Health Area. It is important to continue to take all the necessary COVID-19 safety measures to ensure our Town remains healthy and safe.  To view the map visit:

Relief Funding Coming for Hard-Hit Businesses:  Today, the B.C. government announced the Circuit Breaker Business Relief Grant, which will provide affected businesses with up to $10,000 in one time funding to help with expenses like rent, insurance, employee wages, maintenance and utilities.   The Grant is open to eligible businesses of any size that have been in operation since Feb 1. 2021.   Applications are expected to open the week of April 12, 2021 and will closed on June 4, 2021.  For more information visit:
