Today is Thursday, July 1. A few notes about today:

Garbage pick up - There is no change to the garbage pick up schedule. If Thursday is your normal garbage day, please put your garbage out as you normally do.

Town Hall - Closed today, but will reopen tomorrow, July 2 at 8:30 a.m. A reminder that tomorrow is the deadline for property taxes and to claim your home owner grant. New this year for municipalities, the home owner grant MUST be claimed online at gov.bc.ca/homeownergrant or by calling to speak to a live Provincial agent at 1-855-355-2700. The home owner grant MUST be applied for on or before July 2 to avoid late payment penalties.

July 1 Fireworks: Due to the Provincial fire ban, the Town of Creston will not be hosting Canada Day fireworks this year. We will be assessing the situation later on in the year to determine an alternative date, when it is safe to do so.
