Environment Canada has issued an extreme heat warning for the Southwest Interior and Kootenay Lake districts, with daytime temperatures anticipated to exceed 35 degrees Celsius for Friday and Saturday. 

If you, or someone you know, needs a place to cool down, stop by the air conditioned space at Town Hall, Council Chambers. The cooling centre will be open Friday, July 30 and Saturday, July 31 between 11:00 am - 6:00 pm. The direct entrance to Council Chambers is off 10th Ave. N.
