Meeting Presentations and Delegations
Council welcomes delegations of residents, concerned citizens or community groups. Most presentations are a maximum of 15 minutes, but can be longer by request. Delegations are asked to provide a written summary of what they are presenting, in advance. This will allow the information to be circulated to Council beforehand, and becomes part of the minutes of the meeting.
The Committee of the Whole Meetings are where issues are addressed and discussed and recommendations are made to Council. The Committee of the Whole cannot pass resolutions or bylaws. These go to vote during the next Council meeting.
If you have an issue which Town staff might be able to help with, we encourage you to contact staff before making a presentation to Council.
The deadline for receiving submissions from delegates is at Noon, on the Thursday before the meeting day.
