Properties located in the R1: Residential - Low Density or R5: Residential – Rural, are permitted to keep a maximum of six hens.
Hens must have a valid Hen licence. Only one licence is required, regardless if you have one or six hens.
The licence fee is $20 for the year. Licences expire on the 31st of December each year and must be renewed annually.
Hen owners are required to have a valid Provincial Premises Identification Program Number. Register for Provincial Premises ID Program Number
