The highway remains closed at Canyon Street between 10th Avenue and 12th Avenue, including the walkthrough at 11th Avenue, due to an active crime scene.
Traffic continues to be detoured via Cook Street.
Currently, there is no danger to the public.
We are requesting that pedestrians and vehicle traffic avoid the area.
The next update will be provided at 4:00PM, or earlier if possible.

This Active Crime Scene update is being issued on Thursday, July 23, 2026 12:05 PM by Emergency Management Creston.
Due to an active crime scene, Canyon Street between 10th Avenue and 12th Avenue, including the walkthrough at 11th Avenue remains closed. Canyon Street is anticipated to reopen between 1:00 PM - 1:30PM, however, the walkthrough will remain closed.
While Canyon Street is closed, traffic is detoured via Cook Street.
Currently, there is no danger to the public.
We are requesting that pedestrians and vehicle traffic avoid the area.
