Pursuant to section 26 of the Community Charter, the Town of Creston gives notice of its intention to dispose of interests in municipal property by entering into the following lease agreements.
Property Description
The proposed dispositions relate to portions of the municipally owned building known as the Armitage Building, located at 121 Northwest Boulevard, Creston, British Columbia, on lands legally described as:
PID: 027-735-800
Lot 1, District Lot 525, Kootenay District, Plan NEP87969, Except Plan EPP37611
The proposed leases also include non-exclusive shared access to the building’s washrooms, tenant kitchen, and conference room by reservation.
Proposed Lease to Creston Valley Rock Club
- Person acquiring the interest: Creston Valley Rock Club
- Lease area: Office 6 within the Armitage Building
- Nature of disposition: Lease for use as a workshop for the Creston Valley Rock Club
- Term: One year, commencing October 1, 2026 and ending at 11:59 p.m. on September 30, 2027
- Consideration: Rent in the amount of $98.06 per month, plus applicable GST, equivalent to $1,176.72 for the one-year term, plus applicable GST
Proposed Lease to Creston Valley Arts Council
- Person acquiring the interest: Creston Valley Arts Council
- Lease area: Office 3 and Storage Room 1 within the Armitage Building
- Nature of disposition: Lease for use as an office for the Creston Valley Arts Council
- Term: One year, commencing October 1, 2026 and ending at 11:59 p.m. on September 30, 2027
- Consideration: Rent in the amount of $221.36 per month, plus applicable GST, equivalent to $2,656.32 for the one-year term, plus applicable GST
