Proposed Council Procedures Bylaw No. 2062, 2026
The Council of the Town of Creston intends to consider Council Procedures Bylaw No. 2062, 2026, which would repeal and replace Council Procedures Bylaw No. 1875, 2018, as amended.
The proposed bylaw aligns the Town’s written procedures with current Council practices and provides greater procedural clarity. Key changes address the inaugural Council meeting, Regular Council Meeting schedule and agenda structure, Committee of the Whole, committees and advisory bodies, electronic participation, meeting notice and related administrative matters.
The proposed bylaw may be reviewed as part of the September 22, 2026 Regular Council Meeting Package or at Town Hall, 238 10th Avenue North, during regular business hours.
Council will consider the proposed bylaw for first to third readings at its Regular Council Meeting on October 13, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, Town Hall.
